God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways;
he does great things beyond our understanding.

(Job 37:5)

Job is such a trooper.  In spite of more difficulties than I could begin to handle, he still sees God around him and follows His ways.  I think God's "thunder" may often be soft and gentle, so soft and gentle that we need to make sure we are paying attention.  Other times, He knocks us out of our socks.  No matter how He speaks to us, we are only human and do not have the ability to fully understand the Lord of Creation.  That's OK.....just keep looking and listening!

From my Pastor's sermon this morning;

"What I don't fully understand, I will fully accept."  From this statement, he went on to read from Proverbs 3:6.... Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding:

It was a convicting sermon for me, as I often rely on my own judgement when I'm having trouble figuring out the way that God would have me choose.  I just need to trust and accept that it's OK to not understand, but it isn't OK for me to charge off in my own direction.  Slow down....wait....listen.....trust....then obey.

I am your servant; give me discernment that I may understand your statutes.
(Psalm 119:125)

Tough week of BSF Bible study. I'll find out tomorrow if it was just me or if many of us struggled through this lesson. I appreciate the challenge of the lesson, for I know that it fires up my brain cells and makes me dig deeper into the scripture. I'm also confident that God sends me the understanding that is perfect for me at any given point in my life.
